North Miami Beach has scheduled a bulk waste pick-up for Eastern Shores residents. This is an excellent opportunity to dispose of large items that cannot be collected through regular weekly trash service — including furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other oversized household items.

To participate, place all bulk items at the curbside the day prior. Items left out after the collection truck has passed your street may not be picked up until the next scheduled bulk collection date, so please have everything ready early.

Acceptable items for bulk pick up include sofas, chairs, tables, dressers, mattresses and box springs, refrigerators, washers and dryers, water heaters, and other large household goods. Items must be placed at the curb — not in the swale, on the sidewalk, or inside gated areas where the collection truck cannot access them.

Items that are NOT accepted during bulk pick up include hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, motor oil), electronics (TVs, computers, monitors — these require e-waste recycling), construction debris, tires, and yard waste in excess of the standard limit. If you are unsure whether an item qualifies, contact the City of North Miami Beach Public Works Department at 305-948-2960.

This is also a good time to remind neighbors that bulk items should not be left at the curb in the days leading up to collection. Items placed too early can become eyesores and may attract scavenging activity. Please set items out the night before or early in the morning of the pickup day.

If you have questions about what is accepted or need to report a missed pick up, contact the City of North Miami Beach at 305-948-2960 or visit the city website. The ESPOA board will share any updates regarding the collection schedule as they become available.
